We live in an extraordinary and active place. Marquette Adaptive is working alongside people, resources, and organizations to help make more of Marquette County's outdoor experiences accessible to more people.
We're developing adaptive alpine skiing for our founding winter while helping people find the adaptive recreation already happening in Marquette County.

We are joining good work
We did not invent adaptive recreation here.
Volunteers, families, organizations, clubs, professionals, and advocates have been building adaptive and inclusive recreation in Marquette County for years — Superiorland Ski Club's Para-Nordic program, SAIL's SPAR program, Special Olympics Area 36, and others. We name them, credit them, and want to help them do more.
Our question isn't how Marquette Adaptive can own adaptive recreation. It's simpler: what could we help make possible?

Founding winter 2026–27
Two objectives. Six steps.
Build adaptive alpine — and support adaptive recreation already creating positive impact.

- Acquire the right adaptive alpine equipment based on real needs and qualified guidance.
- 02Move
- Secure enclosed equipment storage and a safe, right-sized transportation solution.
- 03Train
- Develop a qualified founding instructor team with real adaptive-specific training.
- 04Insure
- Insurance, waivers, intake, and emergency procedures are hard launch gates.
- 05Ski
- Roughly 10–20 funded adaptive alpine experiences in the first winter. Small on purpose.
- 06Support
- Put meaningful resources behind adaptive programs already creating positive impact.
